Floor stripping and waxing
We take the old finish right off, rinse the floor clean, and put on fresh coats that actually last. Vinyl tile, linoleum and rubber floors in shops, clinics, offices and restaurants.
Two kinds of tired floors
Some floors we see haven't been waxed in five or ten years. There's almost nothing left on them and the tile itself is starting to wear. Those are pretty straightforward.
The other kind is the floor that's been waxed over and over without ever being stripped. Layer on top of layer of old yellow finish, with dirt trapped between them. Same process, but a lot more work, and sometimes we're down on our hands and knees scraping.
That's why we like to see a photo before we quote. The same floor can be a quick job or a long night, and we'd rather tell you which one up front.
How it goes
Every strip and wax is these six steps. A rough floor just takes more of each one.

Stripping solution goes down and sits
We let it soak into the old wax for a while before any machine touches the floor.

Scrub it off
A floor scrubber with a heavy-duty pad lifts the old wax. Heavy buildup gets a second pass and hand scraping.

Suck it all up
Old wax, stripping solution, dirt, all of it gets vacuumed off. Nothing's left to dry into the tile.

Rinse until nothing's left
Stripping solution is harsh stuff. If any is left behind, the new wax reacts with it and bubbles. So we rinse carefully, then rinse again.

Let it dry
Wax on a damp floor is asking for trouble. We wait.

Seal it, then wax it
A base coat that seals the floor, then the coats on top that give you the shine and the protection.

When we first looked at this one, we honestly thought the tile was finished and would need replacing. A rubber mat had been sitting on it for years and the underside had left it looking like that.
